MP Raghav Chadha Proposes Asset Tokenization Bill in Indian Parliament
Indian MP Raghav Chadha has introduced an Asset Tokenization Bill aimed at democratizing access to high-value investments for the middle class. The proposal leverages blockchain technology to enable fractional ownership of assets like real estate and infrastructure projects.
The bill seeks to eliminate traditional intermediaries, reduce transaction costs, and provide instant liquidity. "Investment opportunities should be as inclusive as digital payments have become with UPI," Chadha stated during his parliamentary address.
This legislative MOVE could significantly alter India's investment landscape by allowing smaller investors to participate in markets previously accessible only to high-net-worth individuals.
